Keynote Speaker: Prof. Dr. Robert Hogan, CEO & founder of Hogan Assessment Systems

Robert Hogan is a reputable psychologist, well known for his innovations in personality studies and leadership.  He is an international authority on personality who has been positively impacting he psychological community since the 1960s, having the largest and best-regarded thought-leadership in the industry and advancing the science of personality.  Dr. Hogan is one the first psychologists to prove that personality predicts performance and organizational effectiveness, in a variety of areas, ranging from organizational climate and leadership to selection and effective team performance.

In a new study published in Psychology, Dr. Robert Hogan, was nominated by his peers as a top psychologist in multiple categories.

The study, conducted by the University College London and the Norwegian Business School, asked psychologists to nominate the person they consider the “Greatest Living Psychologist.” Dr. Hogan was one of 10 psychologists to receive multiple nominations for this distinction.

Dr. Hogan, who is widely known for his groundbreaking research on personality and how it translates to organizational and leadership effectiveness, was also ranked among the top five greatest personality psychologists. This group consisted of famous psychologists, such as Sigmund Freud, Hans Eysenck, Gordon Allport and Carl Jung.

“It is hard to imagine a modern psychologist who has influenced more peers in science—or more leaders in the world of business—than Robert Hogan,” says Rob Kaiser, President of Kaiser Leadership Solutions. “When he started in the 1960s, conventional wisdom held that personality doesn’t matter. Thanks to Hogan’s tireless efforts, we all know better—and have the tools for assessing, selecting, and developing the right people into the right roles for the right reasons.”

In the early 80s, Dr. Hogan founded Hogan Assessments, and ever since, the company’s footprint has grown exponentially. Now Hogan Assessments is offering premium tools and services in more than 56 countries and 47 languages, serving more than half of the Fortune 500 companies.

Dr. Hogan is the author of more than 300 journal articles, chapters and books including Personality and the Fate of Organizations (2006). His recent author, co-author and editing credits also include: The Hogan Guide (2007), Personality: Theories and Applications (2008), The Handbook of Personality Psychology (1997), The Perils of Accentuating the Positive (2009), the Hogan Personality Inventory, the Hogan Development Survey, the Motives Values and Preferences Inventory and the Hogan Business Reasoning Inventory.

Dr. Hogan received his Ph.D. from the University of California, Berkeley, specializing in personality assessment. He served as McFarlin Professor and chair of the Department of Psychology at The University of Tulsa for 17 years. Prior to that, Dr. Hogan was professor of Psychology and Social Relations at Johns Hopkins University. He is a fellow of the American Psychological Association and the Society for Industrial/ Organizational Psychology.

Lisa has an international background working in global companies (Nestlé, L’Oréal and Starbucks) to shape people’s behavior, leading change and enhance leadership capabilities.

She started her career with Steelcase 7 years ago where she held various positions in the learning function.

Her thorough knowledge in learning and cultural aspects of organizational transformation helps her to identify and address key insights with her clients for desired behavioral change while translating them into key requirements for the work environment.

 

Karin Vidic, EMEA Director for Consulting & Design, Steelcase

Karin Vidic has a passion in working with organizations on their transformation and innovation by unlocking the potential of their most powerful asset – their team mates. Before being the EMEA Director for Consulting + Design teams, she led the HR functions in EMEA for Steelcase.

With her team, she is creating work experiences and workplace designs shaping behaviors people need to display to overperform in their organization.

Madalina Balan, Managing Partner, Hart Consulting

With over 13 years consultancy and training experience, Madalina is specialized in organizational psychology, being a psychologist by formation, she is a senior consultant and the managing partner for Hart Consulting.

Madalina is a certified trainer in Hogan Assessments, having trained over 350 professionals, such as HR managers or consultants, over the last 12 years, in the local market. As the founder and managing partner of Hart Consulting, she has consulted on numerous projects on talent management, selection and leadership development for various local and multinational organizations.

The mission of Hart Consulting is to be the 1st option for managers and leaders when making high-impact decisions about human capital and how it impacts profitability, whether the processes are related to selection, promotion, succession, team diagnosis, leadership development, cultural diagnosis or performance management.

Zsolt Feher, Europe Managing Director, Hogan Assessment Systems

With 15 years of experience in the consulting industry, Zsolt has delivered numerous workshops on leadership, company and project management, public speaking, HR development, corporate financial planning, and financial appraisal ofbusiness plans.

Zsolt is driving the growth of Hogan’s direct marketing and thought leadership campaigns across Europe, and is also responsible for strategic planning and growth in Hogan’s European business channel. Working with with key European partners, distributors, and multinational consulting companies to integrate Hogan’s solutions into current business offerings, Zsolt also explores new alliancerelationships in unrepresented geographies.

As a Hogan Certified trainer and leadership advisory specialist, Zsolt works with C-level managers across the globe (Poland, Hungary, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Serbia, Russia, Belgium, Germany, UK, Sweden, Finland, Denmark, Philippines, Guatemala, Brunei).

 

Christophe Weller, CEO & Founder, Corporate Office Solutions

Established in January 1998, Corporate Office Solutions (COS) is the local authorized dealer of STEELCASE and INTERFACE. Since its foundation, COS has continuously developed its range of services, becoming the first fully integrated office design & build specialist in Romania.

Based in Bucharest and with two other offices in Cluj and Timisoara, COS is part of Office Solutions Group, the Steelcase dealer also present in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Kiev, Kazakhstan (3 offices) and Minsk.

Christophe started his career as a Steelcase Country Manager Assistant in Saudi Arabia in 1992 and 1993, before joining the dealer RHE Al Jeraisy as sales representative in 1994 and 1995. Between 1995 and 1997, Christophe was Sales Manager for TOI / Vitalis Moscow, also a Steelcase dealer. In January 1998, Christophe founded Corporate Office Solutions in Bucharest, a company that he still runs successfully for more than 20 years.

 

Prof. PhD. Ovidiu Dimbean-Creta, Rector, ASEBUSS Business School

Ovidiu has over 18 years of experience in teaching within the ASEBUSS EMBA program and Entrepreneurial MBA program. Ovidiu was trained at Harvard Business School in the Central Eastern European Teachers Program (CEETP) and at the prestigious Wharton Business School, of the University of Pennsylvania, where he attended another customized program for professors from CE Europe, a program called Wharton Emerging Economies Program in finance and banking. He also attended at Targeted Auditors Program in Atlanta, USA, during his business experience with Eli Lilly and Company and having then some other training programs in finance, in human resources and presentation skills in Geneva, London, Vienna and Budapest. The practical character and teaching style of the courses in which Ovidiu gets involved is due to his managerial experience of over 15 years in renowned companies. Ovidiu is a chartered accountant since 1999 and holds a PhD in finance and insurance. He is a founding member of the ASEBUSS Foundation.

 

Ilinca Popescu, Regional Sales Manager Central Europe, Steelcase

As Regional Sales Manager for Central Europe, Ilinca focuses on developing alignment with our dealer network, by developing strategies on priority accounts and opportunities, as well as developing high-impact dealer plans. She manages the performance and individual accountability of the team, using data driven metrics, as well as provides field management  and coaching. Within this region, she is also focused on and accountable for growing business across brands and vertical markets.

Over her 6 years at Steelcase, she has led projects and developed dealers in the Netherlands, the Baltics, the Adriatics, Hungary, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Romania, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Greece and Malta. Ilinca has a Bachelor of Arts in Social Science from University College Utrecht, Netherlands, and a masters degree from the University of Leiden.
